New
technologies have a profound impact
on our lives, the economy and
overall productivity. CODE believes
the EU must take the lead in
encouraging and embedding the
principles of openness that will
spur growth and innovation both
within Europe and around the world.
This
event hopes to foster discussion
around the principles of openness,
including concepts like
interoperability, consumer choice
and open access, and how they
contribute to a thriving European
digital economy.
Qualcomm
CEO Cristiano Amon will be our
special guest and will share his
ideas on the latest evolutions in
technology, including AI, and the
importance of embedding the
principle of openness into
policymaking.
The
fireside chat will be followed by a
panel session that will
contextualise this notion of
openness in practical terms,
focusing on topics where
policymaking can embrace open
digital ecosystems. The conversation
will also point to ideas of how
openness can create a positive
scenario for the European digital
economy of 2029.
